What makes this my favorite?

A fine tuned machine

The first couple of episodes we shot after returning from our holiday hiatus were rough. I was breaking new ground and wasn’t fully confident in my abilities as a director. Our cast was suffering from a creative drought, a lack of inspiration that plagued their energy. Production at times was slow, messy, we were struggling to maintain the momentum from the fall. It wasn’t until S2:EP15 when we really began to bounce back from this slump; come March we were advancing beyond our routine, we were striving to outdo ourselves each episode.

S2:EP20 ran like a fine tuned machine. It was our most technically ambitious episode so far - green screens, split screens, plus the content featured a diverse range of topical conversation and hilarious games. What truly solidified this as my favorite episode was that the shoot went by seamlessly. Everybody excelled at their jobs, to this day it sets the standard for what we wish to accomplish.
