Who is Lucas Hydock?

I am a writer. I believe in the value of entertainment, it is as essential to our well-being as food, water, and shelter. Everybody needs to be entertained to some extent. When I enrolled at Penn State in 2021, I knew what I wanted to be, my goal has always been to become a showrunner. Over the years I’ve written and directed a myriad of short films, in addition to leading multiple productions through CommAgency, 46LIVE, and PSN-TV.

In 2024 I was a creative development intern for Mandalay Pictures and Charles Osowik Management. For each internship I provided script coverage for over 60 WGA and nonunion feature specs. I also created submissions packages through The Studio System and IMDbPro, and worked closely with my supervisors to revise different pitch decks. In my free time I have written several short films, pilots, and a feature. During the 2024-25 school year I will be the Video Executive for CommAgency, supervising over 30 employees in the largest department of our media firm. I am also 1st AD for a capstone project currently in development. I will move back to LA in late 2025.
