They Still Want More.
After her roommate leaves for the weekend, Lydia starts to notice that strange things are happening in her dorm.
They Still Want More is a short film I acted in for the 48 Hour Film Festival. While the screenplay was written by my friend Rey, whom I would later work with extensively in the studio for Nittany Talk, the story was very much a collaborative effort. After meeting together for the first time on a cold, blustery Friday, we developed the core of our storyline - a freshman is stalked by her seemingly unassuming RA.
This film is a rare instance in which I’m in front of the camera. I was cast as the RA, who gradually reveals his mental instability as the script progresses. Though limited in scheduling as we only had one day to shoot, I had a lot of fun on set; I’ve remained in touch with a majority of our team to this day. Ultimately, They Still Want More is more of a symbol of where we stood as filmmakers, and a benchmark for how far we’ve since come.
