Eberly Family Special Collections Library LGBTQ+ Oral History Project
Since September 2021 I’ve worked for CommAgency, a student-run media firm. Initially I was in the live production department which fostered some of the most important relationships of my professional career. By my sophomore year, however, I was ready for new endeavors. This is how I found my way into the video department.
The first client I worked for under video was the Eberly Family Special Collections Library, which commissioned us to craft a narrative promoting their archives, stringed together by the oral history of the Penn State LGBTQ+ community. I would serve as a videographer and editor for this team. From an academic perspective this was incredibly enriching. Much of the topics covered by the interviewees in this project have been forgotten by the public at large. I was fortunate to have the awesome responsibility of bringing to life the stories of these resilient individuals, after decades of trials and triumphs.
